Adaptable Chest Harness | Sassy_Masochist & FearlesMasochist | This hands-on class is designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of suspension-ready chest harnesses. Together, we’ll explore a hands-free chest harness built for suspension, discussing its structural elements, how to modify it for different bodies, and key safety considerations. Students will be guided step-by-step through the tie, with options provided for incorporating the arms into the harness. By the end of the class, you’ll not only have learned a versatile and adaptable suspension harness but also gained tools for customizing and adapting other harnesses to suit your unique needs. Each person planning to tie should bring three to four 25-30 ft long ropes (5-6mm), one or two shorter length ropes, and an emergency cutting tool. | Top Focused |
Adaptable Lower Body Ties | Sassy_Masochist & FearlesMasochist | This hands-on class is designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of suspension-ready lower body harnesses. Together, we’ll explore suspendable variations of a mermaid tie, thigh binder, and calf binder. Students will be guided step-by-step through the ties, learning about their structural elements, how to modify for different bodies, and key safety considerations. Time permitting, we will also show how these harnesses can be loaded in suspension. By the end of the class, you’ll not only have learned versatile and adaptable suspension harnesses, but also gained tools for customizing and adapting other ties to suit your unique needs. | Top Focused |
AppROP(E)priation | WhiskyTangoFoxy | Let’s talk about race, culture and rope. Whether you want to discuss the fine line between appreciation and assumption or just want to hear perspectives on building more inclusive and welcoming events, this is a candid discussion to center marginalized perspectives and share space to build better communities. | Top & Bottom Focused |
AppeTIEzers - Our Favorite Scene-Starters and Warm-Up Ties | Sam Jay & Zero-Gi | Whether you're sharing your first or thousandth tie together, these rope exercises are some of our most valuable tools for flirting with rope, calibrating to your partner, checking in, and finding your play headspace. We will practice mapping intent to interaction through each exercise using process-focused concepts including variations in pacing, distance, quality of touch, and body/rope handling. Some of these appeTIEzers are based on classics that have become favorites, and others we have developed through our years tying and co-tying together. Techniques draw from Japanese martial arts including aikido and hojojutsu, as well as our interpretations of other partnered movement practices. | Top & Bottom Focused |
At All Angles: Asymmetric Suspension | The Silence | Have you ever been outdoors and wanting to do a suspension and there are no low hanging trees branches? But the only trees are either at an angle or just tree trunks. Ever go to a dungeon and there are no suspension points, see now hard points... but they do have a stripper pole and/or a structural column? Ever go to a party and there is an unclaimed piece of bamboo no one is touching and you just wanna suspend someone! Well this is the class for you! This class will focus on suspending people on asymmetric and vertical structures that are load bearing. We will explore how having more suspension points affect the shapes we are used to making in the air. We will also explore how traditional upline lock offs perform on larger surfaces and how some techniques do not work. | Top Focused |
Balloon Bondage | Teleopeli & SeaSandSunSnow | Balloon Bondage. The B in BDSM stands for balloons, right? Explore ways to use balloons for bondage, sensory and psychological play. Latex balloons and materials will be provided, bring your creativity and let your silly side out. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Beyond the Boot - Better Ankle and Foot Hangs | Sam Jay & Zero-Gi | Level up your ankle and foot ties! Most people's suspension repertoires include basic ankle cuffs and gravity boots. We deepen and expand this repertoire by comparing precision nuances of three different ankle cuffs, single-point suspendable foot tacos, and building off these concepts to introduce our unique Zero Gravity slipper. The slipper has been tested on a diversity of bodies with synthetics and natural fibers, and has an intensity level between ankle cuffs and foot tacos but is stable through transitions without the bulk of a gravity boot. Risks and safety are discussed in the class, which are informed by Zero-Gi and Sam Jay's unique experiences with two successful single toe suspensions and regular use of dropping into foot taco only suspensions, as well as rigorous partnered and self-suspension experience. This class is for advanced rope people only although all levels may observe. Partnered and solo participants are welcome, as is Switchcraft. | Top, Bottom, and Self-Suspension Focused |
Beyond the Fundamentals: Refining the Takate Kote | -EM- & Nirathekitten | Join us for an in-depth exploration of advanced box tie techniques. Box ties- also known as takate kote or gote shibari- are one of the most versatile harnesses, but are one of the most challenging to fully understand. This class is designed for those who already have ample experience tying TK’s regularly, and we will focus on refining every inch of its structure to expand your understanding of its capabilities. We will discuss how different body types and mobilities affect placement choices, and how adapting tension and structure can optimize the harness for a specific suspension position. This will be a tie-along class involving your questions being answered on the spot, as well as a demonstration of techniques with time to practice them. | Top Focused |
Communicating In-Tension | Sassy_Masochist & FearlesMasochist | In this class, you will learn how to communicate emotion in rope. We will explore different techniques to connect and create chemistry with our partners while tying - taking a deep dive into how to make ties feel intense, vulnerable, nurturing, sensual, intimate, or any other emotion you wish to convey. These techniques are wonderful tools to transform tying into play, rather than practice. This class is partner-centered and is most effective when working with someone you feel comfortable with, so please come as a pair if possible. If you do not have a partner, feel free to explore connection with another single person in the class, take notes, or self-tie. Bring two to three hanks of rope & your cutting tool. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Deconstruct!! | pandoradreams | In this class, we will view images of various harnesses used in rope bondage. Tying pairs will then be asked to spend time duplicating the tie as best they can. Once ties are completed, tying pairs will be asked to share with the group how they approached the deconstruction of the tie and any adjustments or modifications that may have been made for their partner. Tied persons will be asked to share the things they like/dislike about the tie. The discussion portion of this class is important as we can all learn from one another's visions, interpretations, and modifications. This class is intended for all skill levels of both riggers and bottoms. Equipment needed: 4-6 lengths of rope (jute, hemp, nylon are all ok), safety shears | Top Focused |
Getting the Drop On - Flips, Rolls, Saltos & Dives | Sam Jay & Zero-Gi | Whether we’re tying for an audience of hundreds or just one, there are plenty of reasons we gravitate toward dynamic transition sequences. While we live for the thrill, we have also taken great pains to make sure we live to tie again another day, and we love sharing our secret sauce. In this crash course, learn about the rigging, body mechanics and aerial kinesiology of our approach to dives, flips, rolls, and more, with discussion and demos for multiple categories of drops. Then, we will put these concepts to the test as we guide you through our favorite aerial barrel roll drop from face up to gyaku ebi. It’s an embarrassment of intel and a barrel of fun whether or not you take the tumble yourself (prereqs apply to fly). | Top & Bottom Focused |
Handle This: Rope Foreplay with Intention | Natalie Rose & Etch | This isn’t a class about tying knots, it’s about tying feelings to fingertips, turning a coil of rope into an extension of your will, your want, your wicked little whims. Rope can be sharp, soft, slow, brutal, tender and sometimes all in one scene. In this hands-on, movement-rich workshop, we’ll play with rope handling as a language: one made of tension, timing, and touch. It’s less about technique, more about energy. Less math, more music. Less “how to tie a thing,” more “how to make someone feel a way.” We’ll explore:
You don’t need rope experience, you just need some curiosity, and a willingness to move like you mean it. This is a queer-affirming, kink-positive space where you’re invited to get weird, get playful, and get a little emotionally feral with your rope. Dreamers and even switchy little chaos gremlins all are welcome. Let’s make rope feel like a whole damn vibe. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Hang ups and Hard Points | WhiskyTangoFoxy | This class is about what happens between the load and the hard point. We will discuss different types of suspension equipment and options to attach to overhead hardpoints. We will review materials suitable for main support uplines and discuss their different risk profiles. Finally, we will demo and tie along a series of yokes and hangers with and without carabiners. | Top Focused |
High Yield Anatomy | g | This won’t be the most elaborate anatomy course you will find, but it may be the most pragmatic. Come to discuss the top 3 nerve compression injuries that can occur in rope. We will start with a brief review of nerve structure and function, followed by a deep dive on three syndromes that you may have already seen or heard of to varying degrees. The didactic portion will focus on conveying information that will reduce injury risk and will be followed by ample discussion opportunity for questions, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing among participants. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Holding the Edge: Breath, Presence, and Power in Rope Bottoming | Natalie Rose & Etch | Holding the edge in rope isn’t just about suffering through the pain, it’s about finding power, presence, and connection in the experience. In this 90-minute class, Natalie Rose and etch share the tools, strategies, and lived experiences that make navigating the edge not only possible, but profoundly rewarding. Nat and etch will offer practical tools for navigating intensity, expanding your capacity, and discovering the beauty hidden in discomfort, the intimacy inside struggle, and the strength found through choice and agency. We will explore:
This class is designed for bottoms seeking to expand their toolbox, tops who want to better understand the embodied experience of their partners, and switches who move between roles. Expect to leave with practical skills, embodied awareness, and a deeper appreciation of the active role rope bottoms play in creating transformative experiences. This is an interactive class with discussion, demo, and simple exercises which will be done without rope. | Bottom Focused |
Microbondage: All About the Little Things | Sassy_Masochist & FearlesMasochist | Microbondage: both smaller rope and smaller body parts. Learn the intricate art of paying sadistic attention to the little things. In this hands-on class, we will work with different types of thin rope to experiment with tying faces, toes, tongues, and fingers. In addition to playing with new types of rope, we will discuss safety practices and methods of effective nonverbal communication. Bring your creativity, curiosity, and tiny things to this fun class for all experience levels. Bring your creativity, your tying partner and tiny ropes if you have them (tiny rope will also be provided). Please always bring your cutting tool. | Top Focused |
Neo-Agura Studies - Modular, Shinless & Beyond | Sam Jay & Zero-Gi | What is your all-purpose agura pattern doing for you? We have put standard cross-legged ties under thorough cross-examination, interrogated the myth of the one-size-fits-all agura, and broken these forms down to their most basic functional elements. Explore how these building blocks come together and apart on the ground or in the air for a truly custom-tailored approach to tying en tailleur. Play to your creative goals, curiosities, interests, strengths, adaptive needs, and improvisatory styles with your partner or tying solo. Vital information will be provided throughout on many structural essentials, tradeoffs, risk profiles, modularity, and load points/angles for each variation shown, but guided lab time will allow you to share about specific needs or risks that are specific to you or your tying partner. | Top Focused |
Predicament Challenge! | Creative Mayhem | Calling all mad scientists and bottoms with a poor sense of self-preservation! The predicament lab is a creative, group exercise where we work in teams to build predicaments that meet certain conditions. Instead of teaching one or two predicament ties, this lab aims to investigate the concepts that create good predicaments. This is a collaborative, hands-on workshop where we will learn from each other. And who doesn’t love it when a bottom suggests a way to “improve” a predicament tie? Bring your rope and your ideas! | Top & Bottom Focused |
Rope Bottom's Roundtable | BetwixtBlushes | A bottom-centric space to share experiences, discuss ideas and approaches, and get to know other bottoms a bit better. Roundtables are uniquely shaped by those who show up so don’t be shy to bring your own topic. There will be some optional talking points to get us started but we encourage participation and enthusiastic tangents with respect to the person speaking before you. Switches and top identified folks are welcome but please only speak up within a bottoming context or stay to listen. All experience levels are welcome. | Bottom Focused |
Show Them Who They Are | The Silence | This class is about using rope to bring out the aspects of your partner that you both love and (with a devilish grin) hate. We will work on shaping our partner’s body to create sexy moods, shame, joy, sadness, as well as absurdity with rope, outfits, and camera angles. Go beyond using the same sequences on different people, and use the harnesses you know to tell a story with your bottom’s body. Whether you've been doing rope for over a decade or over a month, we will use what we know to create art AND create a mood for our scenes. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Speechless - Nonverbal negotiating skills for kink | WhiskyTangoFoxy | Giving voice to your needs or desires might be difficult in some situations, in or out of rope. Whether you need to express consent, share a concern or just indicate that you want to continue, we all have ways to speak without saying a word. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Spicy Partials: Flirt with Flight and Tease the Edge | Natalie Rose & Etch | This class is an ode to the partial suspension: that delicious in-between state where tension builds, gravity plays favorites, and the body becomes a site of exquisite contradiction. You’re held but not quite. Grounded but barely. Safe but squirming. We’ll explore:
This is a class for people who want their rope scenes to feel almost too much. For bottoms who crave the ache. For tops who want to learn how to pull someone apart: slowly, carefully, beautifully. Come ready to dangle. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Suspend, Drop, and Roll: High-Intensity Transitions | Marilyn | Are you a thrill-seeking self-suspender looking to push the envelope of what your rope can do? In this advanced self-suspension class, you’ll learn how to incorporate high-intensity, flashy transitions—such as drops, flips, and barrel rolls—into your practice. We’ll cover the mechanics of setting up these transitions, unique safety considerations when self-tying, and demo a sequence that blends daring movements with control. | Self-Suspension |
Sweet Surrender: Deepening Connection Through Endurance Suffering | Natalie Rose & Etch | Suspensions that don’t go all the way but will absolutely ruin you in the best way. Not all suspensions have to go all the way to wreck you. Sometimes, the best devastation happens a few inches off the ground. Endurance bondage isn’t just about physical restraint it’s about connection, trust, and transformation. Join us as we explore how surrender, resilience, and vulnerability create deep bonds in power exchange, especially with strong, assertive partners.
This class offers a space to explore the raw beauty of endurance bondage, where diversity is celebrated and empowerment thrives. Discover the emotions, sensations, and connections that make this practice unforgettable. | Top & Bottom Focused |
Tasuki Chest Harness | WhiskyTangoFoxy | This arms-out chest tie is based on a Japanese cord used to pull sleeves out of the way. This upper body harness affords the ability to suspend from front, rear or side attachment points suitable for pairs or self-suspenders and all body types. | Top Focused |
The Bottom Keeps the Score | -EM- & Nirathekitten | Bottoming for suspension and partials can be an exciting, but intimidating, venture. The community regularly speaks of vetting tops, but unless you top as well, most bottoms are unaware of what to look for in the technical skills of a rigger. How do we spot good rope without learning how to tie? This class is geared towards bottoms who have little to no experience tying themselves, focusing on how to evaluate the skills of a top, understand rope structures, learn best practices, and assess the hardware used in scenes. This lecture based class is not focused on learning to tie, although there may be some hands on portions for bottoms who would like to participate. | Bottom Focused |
Torture Ground Ties | -EM- & Nirathekitten | In this tie-along class we will show and discuss ties that will push your bottoms to their limit. It is a common misconception that floor work is less painful than suspension, and in this class we hope to prove that point. We will discuss general safety and fun ways to cause discomfort based around body mechanics and stress. | Top Focused |
Under Your Skin: Why your bruises convey something more than skin deep | g | Have you ever wondered why you seem to bruise more easily than others? Maybe you have a partner whose skin canvas colors a little more brightly than expected? Bruises and lacerations can be beautiful reminders of the fun we’ve had, but sometimes that stunning nebula of colors may mean something more. This class is aimed to help you build an understanding of how/why bleeding and bruising occur under both typical and pathologic states. We will use that foundation to help you understand your own bleeding experience, when to suspect other medical conditions that can be associated with easy bruising, and how to effectively use certain strategies to mitigate bruising and bleeding symptoms (if desired). | Bottom Focused |
Waiting for the Bus | -EM- & Nirathekitten | Tired of rope scenes that start with a long, awkward lull? This hands on suspension class is all about transforming the beginning of your scenes into engaging, connected experiences right from the first wrap. We'll explore how to use the harnesses and uplines you already know in more dynamic, intimate ways to bring energy, intention, and presence into the moment. Learn how to engage your bottom physically and emotionally, building anticipation as you tie. Ideal for riggers looking to add depth and creativity to their scenes without needing anything new, just a fresh perspective. | Top Focused |
“I bet I could do that”: Adapting partnered rope for self-suspension | Marilyn | It’s a common experience for self-suspenders. You’re at an event, surrounded by tying partners doing their thing, and thinking to yourself “I bet I could do that.” But when you try it, you quickly realize the sequence or shape doesn’t translate as easily as you thought! In this class, we will identify and troubleshoot common issues when adapting partnered rope for self-suspension through live discussion and demonstration. Then you’ll have hands-on time to practice the skills. You’re welcome to come with a shape or sequence in mind, though inspiration material will be provided as well. | Self Suspension Focused |
