Description
It’s a common experience for self-suspenders. You’re at an event, surrounded by tying partners doing their thing, and thinking to yourself “I bet I could do that.” But when you try it, you quickly realize the sequence or shape doesn’t translate as easily as you thought! In this class, we will identify and troubleshoot common issues when adapting partnered rope for self-suspension through live discussion and demonstration. Then you’ll have hands-on time to practice the skills. You’re welcome to come with a shape or sequence in mind, though inspiration material will be provided as well.
Prerequisites
This class is intended for intermediate to advanced self-suspenders who are confident in their uplines and harnesses. Please bring a full suspension kit, including rope of your choice for harnesses, synthetic ropes for uplines (mandatory), suspension hardware, and a cutting implement.
