Handle This: Rope Foreplay with Intention

This isn’t a class about tying knots, it’s about tying feelings to fingertips, turning a coil of rope into an extension of your will, your want, your wicked little whims. Rope can be sharp, soft, slow, brutal, tender and sometimes all in one scene. In this hands-on, movement-rich workshop, we’ll play with rope handling as a language: one made of tension, timing, and touch. It’s less about technique, more about energy. Less math, more music. Less “how to tie a thing,” more “how to make someone feel a way.”

We’ll explore:

• How to move with rope like it’s a dance partner, a weapon, or a wand

• Ways to connect with bodies through momentum, pressure, and breath

• Techniques for keeping your scenes alive, adaptive, and emotionally charged even with the simplest ties

• How rhythm, music, and breath can guide your hands and shift the mood

You don’t need rope experience, you just need some curiosity, and a willingness to move like you mean it. This is a queer-affirming, kink-positive space where you’re invited to get weird, get playful, and get a little emotionally feral with your rope.
