Under Your Skin: Why your bruises convey something more than skin deep

Have you ever wondered why you seem to bruise more easily than others? Maybe you have a partner whose skin canvas colors a little more brightly than expected? Bruises and lacerations can be beautiful reminders of the fun we’ve had, but sometimes that stunning nebula of colors may mean something more. This class is aimed to help you build an understanding of how/why bleeding and bruising occur under both typical and pathologic states. We will use that foundation to help you understand your own bleeding experience, when to suspect other medical conditions that can be associated with easy bruising, and how to effectively use certain strategies to mitigate bruising and bleeding symptoms (if desired).
