Purchase Agreement

The following terms and conditions apply to all ticket purchases for Rope in the Rockies.


Each ticket that you purchase is a revocable license to attend Rope in the Rockies and is subject to these terms.


All ticket prices are stated in U.S. Dollars. You agree to pay all charges incurred by you or any users of your account and credit card at the price(s) in effect when such charges are incurred. You will also be responsible for paying any applicable taxes relating to your purchases. Ticket purchases must be paid in full at the time of purchase, unless otherwise provided. AMOUNTS PAID ARE NONREFUNDABLE. See below for additional terms and conditions related to your purchase.

Delivery of Tickets

Your registration will be logged electronically. No physical ticket will be provided. A confirmation screen and e-mail will be provided to serve as proof of purchase.

Information You Provide to Us

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to our Privacy Policy regarding the information we collect, how it is used, with whom the information may be shared, information collection by third parties, opt-out policy, and information security practices.


All information that you provide in connection with your purchase from the Service (including your name, credit card number, and other identifying information) must be accurate, current and complete.


You acknowledge that complying with laws is your responsibility. YOU AGREE NOT TO HOLD US LIABLE FOR YOUR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY LAW OR OUR FAILURE TO NOTIFY YOU OF, OR PROPERLY APPLY, ANY LAW. Rope in the Rockies and Studio Friction will require you to produce photo identification (Driver’s License, Passport, or other form of government ID) to gain entry to the venue.


Information/Services We Provide to You

Descriptions or images of, or references to, products or services do not imply our endorsement of such products or services. We reserve the right, without prior notification, to change such descriptions or references; to honor, or impose conditions on the honoring of, any coupon, coupon code, promotional code or other similar promotions. Price and availability of any product or service are subject to change without notice. There are no refunds or exchanges for any ticket purchases. Tickets may be transferred to another person in accordance with the transfer policy.

Ticket Availability

Tickets for Rope in the Rockies is sold through StudioFriction.com. If the event sells out, Rope in the Rockies reserves the right to put additional tickets on sale without notice. Rope in the Rockies and Studio Friction reserve the right to refuse to complete a transaction, refuse service, and/or cancel an order for reasons such as suspected credit card fraud, violation of terms, or any other reason.

Order Confirmation

Rope in the Rockies and Studio Friction may send a summary of your purchase to the email address provided during purchase. You should receive a confirmation after concluding your purchase. If you do not receive a confirmation from us, if you receive an error message, or if you discover an error in the information provided, contact us immediately at the email below, to ensure your transaction was completed and that your information is correct. Rope in the Rockies and Studio Friction cannot be responsible for transactions that were not completed or for assumptions that a transaction was completed even though you did not receive a confirmation.


Information sent to the email address you provide may be deemed to be delivered to you, regardless whether you check your email, provide an incorrect address, or if the message is marked as “spam.”


Neither Rope in the Rockies nor Studio Friction places  additional fees or charges on registrations.

Transfer Policy

Tickets may be transferred to another person up until at least July 15, 2018. To transfer a ticket the following actions need to be taken:

  1. The person holding the ticket must e-mail info@ropeintherockies.com from the e-mail address they provided when purchasing the ticket. They must include the name and e-mail address of the person to whom they are transferring the ticket.

  2. The person receiving the transferred ticket must e-mail info@ropeintherockies.com and include the person from whom they are receiving the ticket. All information on the registration form should also be included in the e-mail (badge name, pronoun information, diet, etc.).


All ticket transfers are subject to review. Rope in the Rockies and Studio Friction reserve there right to invalidate transfers for any reason.


If Rope in the Rockies is cancelled or rescheduled we will try to contact you at the email address you provided to let you know about the refund procedures. Please note that if a presenter or performer is changed or cancelled, the event is not considered cancelled and you will not be entitled to a refund.


In the event you are entitled to a refund and you have requested a refund, the Service will automatically issue you a refund to the credit card you used to purchase the ticket.

Event/Ticket Restrictions



Limitations of Liability: There are certain risks inherent in attending Rope in the Rockies. You voluntarily assume all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring before, during or after the event, and you waive any claims for personal injury or death against Rope in the Rockies, Ropes & Rings LLC, Studio Friction, the staff, volunteers, participants, presenters, and performers. In the event you are hurt or believe there is a security issue, please contact a staff member or event volunteer.


Age: All attendees must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the event. Anyone who cannot produce proof of age through a government issued photo ID will not be granted entrance to the event.


Proper Conduct: All attendees must conduct themselves properly at an event. The venue operator and/or the event producer shall have the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly or improper, who fails to provide proper identification, or who fails to comply with the venue or event rules. Breach of these terms or rules could result in the termination of your license to attend the event without refund.


Recording/Photography Restrictions: You agree not to record or transmit, or aid in recording or transmitting, any description, account, picture, or reproduction of the event, the staff, volunteers, performers, and presenters. Photography of your own work is allowed provided consent is obtained from everyone in the picture. You explicitly grant Rope in the Rockies and Studio Friction staff the right to review recordings and pictures on any recording device brought into the event and the right to delete recordings and pictures which are not in compliance with the photography policy as described in the event rules.


Search: You and your belongings may be searched on entry to the event. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise from such a search. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Under certain facility rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, drugs, controlled substances, or certain size packages or bags.


Re-Sale Restrictions: This ticket may not be used for any advertising or promotion purposes, or used as a contest prize without the prior written permission of Rope in the Rockies.
