Flying Coyote Suspension Sequence

Top Focused

Time & Date

TBD

Description

A bamboo-wings sequence with a flip and twist! This suspension sequence uses an arms-out chest harness, bamboo wings, and hip loader harness to get your partner in a facedown scorpion pose, sideways pose, fully inverted pose, and face up backbend pose using smooth transitions. We cover how to move bottoms through each transition, tips for smaller riggers tying bigger bottoms, and bottoming tips. We performed this sequence at Rope Jam Fall 2025, and then taught the sequence at the Tying Masc Bodies workshop in Chicago Nov 2025. The overwhelming feedback we get from students is that the sequence is comfortable, sustainable, and easy to breathe through. This is an intermediate-advanced sequence.

Prerequisites

Must know a sustainable arms-out chest harness with shoulder straps (woven heart or xana harness is preferred), be familiar with hojo cuffs and how to tension them, and be comfortable working in suspension and moving loaded uplines.
