The Silence
Oakland, CA
The_Silence started photographing his rope work over 14 years ago and shoots multiple times a week. He developed his style through adapting what he's learned in classes, the internet, and a whole LOT of trial & error. Because of photography, he’s had to push himself and gain the knowledge from multiple teachers and sources over the years.
Show Them Who They Are
Hands On
All Abilities
Top & Bottom Focused
Time & Date
TBD
Description
This class is about using rope to bring out the aspects of your partner that you both love and (with a devilish grin) hate. We will work on shaping our partner’s body to create sexy moods, shame, joy, sadness, as well as absurdity with rope, outfits, and camera angles. Go beyond using the same sequences on different people, and use the harnesses you know to tell a story with your bottom’s body. Whether you've been doing rope for over a decade or over a month, we will use what we know to create art AND create a mood for our scenes.
Prerequisites
None.
At All Angles: Asymmetric Suspension
Hands On
Advanced
Top Focused
Time & Date
TBD
Description
Have you ever been outdoors and wanting to do a suspension and there are no low hanging trees branches? But the only trees are either at an angle or just tree trunks. Ever go to a dungeon and there are no suspension points, see now hard points... but they do have a stripper pole and/or a structural column? Ever go to a party and there is an unclaimed piece of bamboo no one is touching and you just wanna suspend someone! Well this is the class for you!
This class will focus on suspending people on asymmetric and vertical structures that are load bearing. We will explore how having more suspension points affect the shapes we are used to making in the air. We will also explore how traditional upline lock offs perform on larger surfaces and how some techniques do not work.
Prerequisites
basic upline knowledge and mechanics. A number of previous suspensions performed. The ability to receive feedback from the rope bottom being tied. Rope that is in great condition, and reinforced up lines are strongly recommended. This is an intermediate to advanced rope class.
This class is open to those with rope bottoms and self suspenders. You can also practice these techniques on inanimate objects in substitution of a human body during the class.
