g
Denver, CO
g (she/her) entered the scene after an awakening to her submissive and masochist inclinations. She instantly felt a sense of belonging with the kink community, but it wasn’t until she moved to Denver over 3 years ago that she first was given an opportunity to experience the joy of suffering in rope. She is drawn to the physical and mental challenges of strenuous ties and the shared experience created with her partners. Over the years, she has been given opportunities to tie with several talented riggers and continues to explore ways of pushing her own limits while growing as an empowered partner in rope. Through her work outside of kink, g has also received training in the health sciences and enjoys opportunities where she can combine her scientific mind with the artistry of rope. She is looking forward to giving back to the community by sharing some of the expertise she has gained in her professional life along with insights she has acquired during her journey as a rope bottom.
Under Your Skin: Why your bruises convey something more than skin deep
Lecture/Discussion
All Abilities
Bottom Focused
Time & Date
TBD
Description
Have you ever wondered why you seem to bruise more easily than others? Maybe you have a partner whose skin canvas colors a little more brightly than expected? Bruises and lacerations can be beautiful reminders of the fun we’ve had, but sometimes that stunning nebula of colors may mean something more. This class is aimed to help you build an understanding of how/why bleeding and bruising occur under both typical and pathologic states. We will use that foundation to help you understand your own bleeding experience, when to suspect other medical conditions that can be associated with easy bruising, and how to effectively use certain strategies to mitigate bruising and bleeding symptoms (if desired).
Prerequisites
None.

Description
This won’t be the most elaborate anatomy course you will find, but it may be the most pragmatic. Come to discuss the top 3 nerve compression injuries that can occur in rope. We will start with a brief review of nerve structure and function, followed by a deep dive on three syndromes that you may have already seen or heard of to varying degrees. The didactic portion will focus on conveying information that will reduce injury risk and will be followed by ample discussion opportunity for questions, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing among participants.
