Nirathekitten (she/her) is a rope loving, latex wearing, often bloody, switch and self-player who joined the larger kink community in 2018 while living in Michigan. Now located in Western NC, she dedicates a large portion of her time volunteering for her local community, sharing her passion for education, and co-leading Asheville Rope Academy. Whether it's traveling cross-country, or in her own backyard, Nira can be found pushing her abilities in kink. Between getting tangled in rope, causing trouble with sharp things, torturing partners, or intriguing sadists- it can safely be assumed that she will be found further proving that 'mind over matter' is more than just an expression. She can be found on Fetlife, Instagram, and Twitter as NiratheKitten.

Description

In this tie-along class we will show and discuss ties that will push your bottoms to their limit. We will discuss general safety and fun ways to cause discomfort based around body mechanics and stress.

Prerequisites

Single column tie and basic frictions. Please bring 3-4 hanks of rope.

This hands on suspension class is all about transforming the beginning of your scenes into engaging, connected experiences right from the first wrap. We'll explore how to use the harnesses and uplines you already know in more dynamic, intimate ways to bring energy, intention, and presence into the moment. Bottom Focused

Time & Date

TBD

Description

Bottoming for suspension and partials can be an exciting, but intimidating, venture. The community regularly speaks of vetting tops, but unless you top as well, most bottoms are unaware of what to look for in the technical skills of a rigger. How do we spot good rope without learning how to tie? This class is geared towards bottoms who have little to no experience tying themselves, focusing on how to evaluate the skills of a top, understand rope structures, learn best practices, and assess the hardware used in scenes. This lecture based class is not focused on learning to tie, although there may be some hands on portions for bottoms who would like to participate.

Prerequisites

None. Please bring something to take notes

Hands On

Intermediate

Top Focused

Time & Date

TBD

Description

Join us for an in-depth exploration of advanced box tie techniques. Box ties- also known as takate kote or gote shibari- are one of the most versatile harnesses, but are one of the most challenging to fully understand. This class is designed for those who already have ample
experience tying TK’s regularly, and we will focus on refining every inch of its structure to expand your understanding of its capabilities. We will discuss how different body types and mobilities affect placement choices, and how adapting tension and structure can optimize the harness for a specific suspension position. This will be a tie-along class involving your questions being answered on the spot, as well as a demonstration of techniques with time to practice them.

Prerequisites

Box Tie, basic understanding of frictions and tension. 3-4 hanks of rope.
